Onsite Insight is based in Claret, a lively village within easy reach of Montpellier, Nimes, the Cevennes mountains and the Mediterranean coast.

Living in Europe offers significant advantages, including a lower cost of living, higher quality food, affordable health care, and a more leisurely pace. But bureaucratic mazes and cultural quirks can make it unexpectedly tricky to settle in.

Onsite Insight is the brainchild of Grace Huschle Delobel. Having lived abroad for most of her adult life, she’s learned through experience the value of local insight.

The right support can help you navigate bumps in the road.

Meet the Team

  • Grace Delobel

    Director

A graduate of Wesleyan and Columbia Universities, she lived in Nepal, Tanzania, Pakistan, and the Philippines before settling in France, where she works as a scientific translator and editor. With her children scattered strategically across Europe, she travels regularly to London, Madrid, and Amsterdam.

  • Luc Delobel

Luc is a graduate of IE University and EM Lyon, where he obtained his MBA. He grew up in the Philippines and France, studied and worked in France, Spain, and the USA, and is now based in Madrid. He is your point person for Spain and Portugal.

  • Laure Masson

    Culture and red tape advisor

Born in Marseille, Laure is an expert in French culture, language, and bureaucracy (a crucial asset). She has degrees in art history, archaeology, and French as a Foreign Language, served as the director of the Alliance Française in Milwaukee, WI, and has worked in the local French government for the past 15 years. She can help you decode France’s past and present.

  • Nathalie Bazile

    Education and music advisor

Originally from Toulouse, Nathalie is a primary school teacher with a hard-earned knack for negotiation. Having lived in Mali, Madagascar, Chile, and Rome, she's well acquainted with the rollercoaster of living abroad. Nathalie can help you navigate the French education system with humor and grace. If you play an instrument, she strongly urges you to bring it (she’s always on the lookout to jam with fellow musicians).

  • Anne Douzals

    Food and cooking advisor

With just a pinch of this and a dash of that, Anne can make a simple dish sublime. A native of Brittany, she has lived all over France, and is a treasure trove of weekend getaway ideas across Europe. Anne can expertly guide you through a lively Saturday morning market, choosing the freshest ingredients, then show you how to magically turn those market finds into delicious dishes.

  • Nanook

    Pet advisor

Nanook can guide you to the tastiest sticks, muddiest ponds, and best spots to stash tennis balls. Not much of a barker, she understands most languages, and will play with anyone, regardless of your size, species, or breed.
